A couple of days ago I bought an 18th century bow. It was advertised as “attributed to Edward Dodd, c. 1780”. Of course it is tempting to believe that my bow was the work of this mythical figure. However, this is very unlikely: the bow is well made but clearly lacks the marks of the craftsmanship and artistry of the members of the Dodd family. Hello everybody,This is my first blog post. Actually, I don't have a very clear idea of what I am going to do with this blog. I do have some thoughts to share, especially about music, but whether I should do this in English or in Dutch, on my own website or on blogger.com, I don't know.
